Kenneth Winston

Administrator

KenWinstonKenneth Winston is the Administrator of Westhampton Care Center.

Previously, he served the Glenhaven Health Care
Organization for 35 years, the first 26 as Administrator of the Glengariff Health Care Center in Glen Cove and the balance as Chief Operating Officer of the Glengariff Center, and the Port Jefferson Health Care Facility in Port Jefferson. During his tenure, his Glen Cove facility earned 32 years of perfect no-deficiency scores from the State of New York Department of Health.

He has served as a State approved Preceptor mentoring several “administrators in training” preparing them for their careers. Additionally, he was a founding member and first President of the Intercounty Health Care Facilities Association, a 6-year President of the Nassau Health Care Facilities Association and a 10-year Board Member of the New York State Health Facilities Association.

Ken has testified before Congress regarding skilled nursing facility issues. He has served as Chair of the Long Island Healthcare Labor Association for the past 19 years.

Mr. Winston garnered a BA Degree from Hofstra University, an MS Degree in Hospital Administration from Columbia University, and a New York State Nursing Home Administrators License by the NYS Department of Health in the early 1970’s. A Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators since 1982, the New York Chapter of the same Organization in 1997 awarded him the “Administrator of the Year.”

Jane Montanaro

Assistant Administrator

Jane Montanaro started at Westhampton Care Center in 1996 as the evening Receptionist and also assisted in the Business office. She continued to work per-diem in the facility while enduring a full time job as the Human Resource Director at a computer company in Patchogue.

A year later a position became available for the Nursing Office and she worked for 14 years as a Staffing Coordinator/ Nursing Secretary under three Directors of Nursing. After many years of dedicated hard work she was promoted to the position as the Human Resource Director and just recently ascended to the position of Assistant Administrator. Jane has a background/education in Business Administration and plans to continue her education in Heath Care Administration.

Jane enjoys spending quality time with her husband and children.

Robert W. Nemeth

Director of Nursing Services

Robert W. Nemeth comes to Westhampton Care center with nearly 15 years of experience in long-term care. He is a graduate of Suffolk County Community College and holds an associate degree in nursing and is working towards his bachelor's degree. Robert is also a certified fitness trainer through International Sport and Science Association.

Robert began his nursing career as a certified nursing assistant at Stony Brook University Hospital and worked his way through school eventually becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. It was at this point in his career that he became the first LPN to pioneer a position in the operating room at Stony Brook Hospital where he served as the assistant to the chief Cardiothoracic anesthesiologist and was responsible for the setup and quick turnaround of the open heart O.R. Upon receiving his Registered Nursing license, Robert made the transition from hospital O.R. to long term care, where he has made it his goal to experience and master every nursing position within the skilled nursing facility. His area of expertise is the Minimum Data Set Assessment and the reimbursement aspect of the skilled nursing facility. Robert has also served as Nursing Service Consultant for various nursing homes and has become very familiar with the New York State Department of Heath Regulations for long term care.

Robert is a resident of Middle Island, NY and enjoys spending time with his daughter Laila, as well as a round of golf or a game of football with his friends.

 

Lewis Anreder, MD, FAAP

Medical Director

A family physician since 1987, Dr. Anreder has served as the Medical Director of the Westhampton
Care Center since 1996. A Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Anreder’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of family practice with an emphasis on
geriatric medicine.

Areas of particular interest include integrative and holistic approaches to the treatment of chronic illness and the utilization
of botanical, nutritional and functional approaches to optimize the health and wellness of his patients. Dr. Anreder is also a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine.
